SPRING 08, HEADLINERS:

New York:

Our successful relationship with New York’s posh Carlyle Hotel continues with the incomparable Barbara Cook returning to the Café in March for six weeks. Catch her in the ultimate intimate cabaret lounge (100 seats) which follows her three recent sold out performances with the New York Symphony at Lincoln Center (4,000 seats) that concluded in January. Loston Harris and his trio continue through till June for the fifth year playing Tuesday thru Saturday in the Carlyle’s stylish Bemelmans’s lounge. On Loston’s off nights, the composer and songwriter Earl Rose plays the cocktail hour and adds his trio for the evening on Mondays. Please catch the multitalented Euan Morton during his four week March run at the Algonquin which follows his recent acclaimed role in the just concluded Cyrano de Bergerac sold out show. Another Broadway star, Ashley Brown of Mary Poppins, will take a weekend break in May to perform with the Cincinnati Pops.

Alas; the luxurious café at the Pierre Hotel which featured Kathleen Landis for twenty-three years along with Max Weinberg’s just as talented sister Nancy Winston has closed for renovation for the next two years.
